Our Screen printing service starts with one of our highly trained team members separating your artwork by colour and producing a mesh screen for each one.
Each colour is then matched up and registered on either our 6 colour manual or 18 colour automatic press ready for ink to pushed through each screen directly on to the garment.
This allows us to to print incredibly precise garments at a staggering rate no matter what ink or finish you decide to use.
There are a huge number of ink types available when screen printing. Below are a few of the more popular types we offer along with some of the more specialized inks.
Whatever your requirements please get in touch by phone or email and one of our team will guide you through the options available to get your desired finish.
Plastisol is the most common ink used in commercial garment decoration. Good colour opacity onto dark garments and clear graphic detail with, as the name suggests, a more plasticized texture.
This print can be made softer with special additives or heavier by adding extra layers of ink.
Discharge ink is used to print lighter colours onto dark background fabrics, they work by removing the dye of the garment – this means they leave a much softer texture. Very popular with fashion brands and they work great on tri blend and mixed fabrics.
One of the pros of using this process is they are especially good for distressed prints and under-basing on dark garments that are to be printed with additional layers of plastisol. It adds variety to the design or gives it that natural soft feel.
Hybrid printing involves putting a discharge underbase with our usual water based inks printed over the top. This allows us to strike a great balance between colour vibrancy/accuracy and a soft, breathable, yet very durable print which only gets softer after the first wash.
Some colours aren’t suited to this method so please send us any artwork you would like us to take a look at.
Water based ink, like discharge, will leave a very soft hand feel and a great durable finish. The inks are low opacity so can only be printed on white/light coloured garments.
The Ink will give great results when printing full colour photographic images as the ink blends to produce awesome fine detail.
Being water soluble, it is considered to be our most eco friendly option.
We have a huge range of ink types for really standout garments including heat, water and sunlight reactive inks, puff effect, glow in the dark, metallic effect, neon and loads more!
Please give us a call or send us an email and we will be happy to tell you about each of them.
